The Participatory Communication Research Section of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) invites the submission of proposals for papers and panels for IAMCR 2022. The PCR call highlights the relevance of participation and participatory communication to deal with the contemporary challenges of neo-globalisation as well as its potential to build a shared vision for the times ahead in a number of issues. The main theme for IAMCR 2022, “Communication Research in the Era of Neo-Globalisation: Reorientations, Challenges and Changing Contexts” is concerned with possibilities for rethinking communication research agendas in the post-pandemic world, which has seen dramatic shifts in the way we interact and understand our physical, social, cultural, political and material environments.
The conference will be held online from 11 to 15 July 2022. The conference will also have a national hub at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
The deadline for submission is 9 February 2022, at 23.59 UTC.

The Participatory Communication Research Section is opening a Call for Reviewers for the abstract proposals received by the PCR to the IAMCR Beijing 2022. Through the years we’ve been relying on the volunteer work of reviewers that we fully appreciate as crucial for the selection process. So, if you would like to be part of this team, please send your note of interest indicating “REVIEWER CANDIDATE” on the subject of the mail, no later than February 10th, to iamcr.pcr@gmail.com. Please indicate your affiliation, brief cv, and your subjects of expertise, according to the topics of the PCR call for the conference. Please check them here: https://iamcr.org/beijing2022/cfp-pcr

La Sección de Investigación en Comunicación Participativa de la International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) les invita a presentar propuestas de ponencias y paneles para IAMCR 2022. La convocatoria de la Sección enfatiza la relevancia de la participación y la comunicación participativa para abordar los desafíos contemporáneos de la neo-globalización, así como su potencial para construir una visión compartida para los tiempos venideros en una serie de asuntos. El tema principal para IAMCR 2022, “Investigación en Comunicación en la Era de la Neo-Globalización: Reorientaciones, Desafíos y Contextos Cambiantes” se refiere a las posibilidades para repensar las agendas de investigación en comunicación en el mundo post-pandemia, que ha implicado cambios dramáticos en los modos en que interactuamos y entendemos nuestros entornos físicos, sociales, culturales, políticos y materiales. La conferencia se llevará a cabo en línea del 11 al 15 de julio de 2022 y tendrá también un hub nacional en Tsinghua University en Beijing.

La Sección de Investigación en Comunicación Participativa abre la Convocatoria para Dictaminadores, que revisarán los resúmenes recibidos en este grupo en IAMCR 2022. A lo largo de los años hemos contado con el trabajo voluntario de las y los dictaminadores, que consideramos crucial para el proceso de selección de ponencias. Así pues, si desea ser parte de este equipo, por favor envíenos un mensaje manifestando este interés, con el asunto “REVIEWER CANDIDATE”, a más tardar el 10 de febrero, a iamcr.pcr@gmail.com. Por favor indique su afiliación, resumen curricular, así como sus áreas de expertise, de acuerdo con los temas de la convocatoria de esta Sección.
