The Comic Art Working Group invites submissions for its open sessions at the IAMCR 2011 Conference to be held at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, Turkey, from July 13 to 17, 2011. The general conference theme is ‘Cities, Creativity, Connectivity’.
The Comic Art Working Group invites papers within the following themes:
- animation
- comic strips
- comic books
- caricature
- political (editorial) cartoons
- humorous drawings
- humor/satire magazines.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts (300-500 words) is February 8, 2011. Please note that this deadline will not be extended.
Submission of abstracts is to be done online through the IAMCR's Open Conference System (OCS) using the link to be found on the official Istanbul conference website. The OCS system will be available to receive abstract submissions from Wednesday December 1, 2010.
The results of peer reviews of submitted abstracts will be announced by Section and Working Group Heads by March 25, 2011. Full papers must be submitted online via the IAMCR-OCS by June 3, 2011.
